Learning beyond the classroom!
Our Grade 11 ESS students headed to Purple Island Mangroves for an exciting educational field trip! During the visit, students explored the unique mangrove ecosystem, investigated water pH levels at different locations, and practiced essential sampling techniques used in environmental research.
They also engaged in thoughtful discussions about the biotic and abiotic factors influencing their results—connecting real-world observations to ESS concepts like ecosystems, water chemistry, and human impact.
A day full of inquiry, teamwork, and hands-on science.
