QATAR ACADEMY AL KHOR, CELEBRATED THE GRADUATION OF THEIR THIRD COHORT
Qatar Academy Al Khor (QAK), celebrated the graduation of its third cohort on May 23, 2019 at the school campus in Al Khor.
The ceremony was attended by a number of VIPs and senior QF officials including Mrs.Buthaina Al Nuaimi, President of Pre-University Education (PUE), as well as members of the Board of Trustees of QAK, the parents of the graduates, administrative and academic staff of the academy, and the media.
The ceremony, started off with a beautiful recitation of the Holy Quran. Fifteen of the Academy’s students graduated in total of which 11 were Qatari students. Opening speech was by Mr. Ali Saleh Nasser Al Fadala, Chairman of the Board of Trustees. In his speech he shared, “The Qatar Academy Al Khor is a continuous reflection of the endless efforts of its outstanding academic staff, and the cooperation between its departments. We can confirm that Qatar Academy Al Khor is fully aware of the requirements needed of the Qatari and regional community to invest in education."
Mrs. Aisha Al-Maqbali, QAKs Director, also delivered a speech on the occasion. She proudly shared the following thoughts with her graduates, “You are the future of this country and its hope, and what we offered you was a right. Therefore, fulfill the aspirations of your parents and our leaders, who have invested abundantly to educate you. Always seek approval in the eyes of your parents. “Her speech was followed by Mr. Frank Espacito, Senior School principal talking to the graduates and guests. Class valedictorian, Yara Ahmad AL Masri reflected upon her experience at QAK in her speech she said “Qatar Academy Al Khor, community, including students and teachers, have taught me that the way to move forward in life is to build bridges not walls. The higher the walls we set up the more ignorant we remain, but if we simply reach out for one another and seek to understand and empathize with one another, we might learn something new.”
The schools salutatorian, Ala' Ra'ed Hasan Al Dayeh, also spoke, saying, “My dear teachers, from the bottom of my heart, with confidence and pride I tell you that your efforts and devotion have been incomparable. You were the best captains of our ship, and you brought us to safety in every situation. You skillfully paved the way through the hardships and guided us through the tough times, turning our hardship into ease. I am very grateful to you.”
QAK, presented a short video that highlighted the graduate’s happiness and their wishes and aspirations for the future. Schools Administration team, distributed awards for Excellence in all disciplines. Ceremony concluded with a group photo to capture, ‘Class of 2019’ at their peak.
