The physical education program broadens the knowledge and physical literacy of its community. It develops sportsmanship, positive social interaction and students’ self-confidence. It provides the QAK community with a deeper knowledge and understanding of the lifelong benefits of active and healthy living. It also creates awareness of the importance of physical education in everyday life. The curriculum is divided into three major strands:
- Living Skills
- Interpersonal Skills
- Critical and Creative Thinking
The general overall expectations are to have the students demonstrate personal and interpersonal skills and to encourage the use of critical thinking processes as they acquire knowledge and skills in connection with the expectations in the Active Living, Movement Competence, and Healthy Living Standards for each grade level.
Students participate in the Sports Day during which they compete as teams and be involved in different types of games.
